3 Rules For Eating Frogs

Today, I’m sharing with you three rules for eating frogs.  Translation – 3 rules for tackling your biggest, most challenging tasks. Two of these tips come from Brian’s book ad the third comes from my own personal experiences and insights.

RULE 1 – Eat the biggest, hairiest frog first.

Earlier this week, we talked about making sure that you’re tackling you most important task first.  But what happens when you have more than one big task to complete?  Well, you choose the mos challenging one first.  Do hat thing that will be the most difficult to accomplish and that one, that when completed, will have the biggest impact on what you accomplish for the rest of the day.

RULE 2 – Don’t just stare at the frogs, eat them.

So, now you have identified your most challenging task.  What should you do now?  DO IT!  It will do no good to your productivity if you just allow it to sit on your to-do list.   And let me give you a little secret from my own experiences – the longer you letthe frog sit there, the bigger and nastier it gets.

RULE 3 (my added rule) – Don’t leave half-eaten frogs lying around.

When you start your tasks – finish them.  At the end of the day, the greatest boost to your productivity will come when you have actually completed your tasks – even if it’s just one or two.

Think About This…

What’s you biggest “frog” do you need to eat today?

A Call To Action:

Eat that frog NOW!

Until the next time we meet, I’m wishing you lots of passion, purpose, profits and PRODUCTIVITY!
